Fru Skagerrak

Fru Skagerrak is Anna Lindblad (Sweden), Elise Wessel Hildrum (Norway) and Maja Kjær Jacobsen (Denamrk). They have known each other for years after they kept meeting at different festivals around Scandinavia. They found a connection through their mutual love for the dance tunes from their home countries. Bringing together the rich traditions of Swedish, Norwegian and Danish folk music, you will hear Swedish polskas, Norwegian springleiks, Danish polkas, some very groovy waltzes and lots more, played on fiddles and recorder. You might also hear a song or two. The music varies from fast and happy to slow and melancholy, taking the audience on a journey through the musical landscape of Scandinavia.
